A Bit of Background

Web development is the work involved in developing a web site for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an internet (a private network).

The rise of the internet within the mainstream culture is largely correlated with its history as a visual medium. Like many other computer systems and applications, it took a graphic interface to get the general population to start to understand the internet’s potential. The personal computer would not have proliferated throughout our households and work environments without the display monitor, and still did not become widely used until electronic spreadsheets, word processors and video games started attracting users. Similarly, users did not start buying into the World Wide Web until the visual-oriented web browser started coming into its own in the early 1990s. And since that time, even though there have been dramatic improvements in web technology and aesthetics, some of the earliest web design techniques have persevered throughout the years. Why Website Development Always the First Step for Business?

Do you know how many websites are there today? According to the internet live stats, there are more than 1.5 billion websites, and the growth speed is still increasing. It is not hard for us to understand. No matter the size of the business, it needs a website that reflects the brand identity. The site serves as home on the internet, which is a must. Once the website goes live, the business is ready to open doors to a vast audience— all online users around the world.

More About Website Development

Website development is mainly about front-end development and back-end development.

Front-end development focus on converting data to an interface, for a user to view, and interact. A front-end developer will be engaged in analyzing code, design, and debugging applications along with ensuring a seamless user experience. As a good front-end developer, they manage what people first see in their browser, so they are responsible for the look, feel and ultimate design of the site.

Back end Development refers to the server-side of development where you are primarily focused on how the site works. Making updates and changes in addition to monitoring functionality of the website will be your primary responsibility. This type of web development usually consists of three parts: a server, an application, and a database. Code written by back end developers is what communicates the database information to the browser. Anything you can’t see easily with the eye such as databases and servers is the work of a back end developer.  Back end developer positions are often called programmers or web developers.
